Are you trying via the actual Yahoo.co.uk (or.com) website, or via Yahoo messenger? Do you have any anti-virus installed; if so try disabling it (temporarily). Similarly (again depending on the virus utility) you may try disabling just the web monitoring optionI have Eset installed and does get in the way of some downloads (which are actualy bona-fide, OK) and I need to temporarily disable Eset web monitoring to allow the download.

Also clear the Safari History etc.; and a very long shot. Try rebooting the router (do not reset it, merely power cycle it).
