(See Screenshot 1-30.) Let's quickly go over each of them. Launch application with default window dimensions: By default, Scrapboard keeps track of the window dimensions whenever you resize it.

And it will restore them whenever you restart the application. If you turn on this checkbox, however, Scrapboard will start with the default window dimensions.

Also, the application window will appear at the center of the computer desktop. That's the default position when you launch the application for the first time. Don't show introduction at startup: When you launch Scrapboard, it will open its introductory screen. Turn on this checkbox to launch the application without it. Hide turn-page buttons: If you turn on this checkbox, Scrapboard will hide the two navigation buttons on the virtual bulletin board when it starts up next time. Hide size label: If you turn on this checkbox, Scrapboard will hide the label indicating the current board size when it starts up next time.
Don't prompt me for confirmation when moving post: When you click on the Move button after double-clicking on a post, by default, you will be prompted for confirmation. Or turn on this checkbox to move the selected post without confirmation.
Don't prompt me for confirmation when deleting post: When you click on the Delete button after double-clicking on a post, by default, you will be prompted for confirmation. Or turn on this checkbox to delete the selected post without confirmation. Don't allow me to create a folder when creating a backup data file: Mac OS X may have an unconfirmed bug that can drive an application to crash when you click on the New Folder button to select a removable volume like a USB disk in order to save a file.
(See Screenshot 1-31a.) A quick workaround is simply not to show this button. If the application quits unexpectedly after you click on this button, then we encourage you to turn on this checkbox. (See Screenshot 1-31b.) You have three options. You can also change the background pattern temporary by choosing one under Background. 8b) Folders: There are two group boxes under this tab. (See Screenshot 1-32.) The drop-down menu inside the top group box is used to specify the default open-folder path. When you attempt to open and load a backup data file by choosing Load Data Backup under Data, this path applies.
By default, it's set to Documents. Explore the drop-down menu and choose Other. To set an alternative default path. (See Screenshot 1-33.) Screenshot 1-32 Screenshot 1-33 The drop-down menu inside the second group box is used to select the default path for saving a data file to your disk. The default path is set to Documents as well.
8c) Schedule: Under this tab, there are two group boxes. Under the top group box, you can set your default calendar month language. Turn on the checkbox inside this group box if you want the day of the month to appear before the calendar month.

Screenshot 1-34 The second group is used for Reminder. If you want Scrapboard to remind you of expiring events, turn on the checkbox that reads Remind me of appointments. Finally, use the drop-down menu inside this group box to tell Scrapboard by how many days ahead of time you want to be reminded of events. When you finish configuring default settings, click on Save. And Scrapboard will save changes. If you instead click on Close, Scrapboard will close this window without saving changes.
