Instead of being considered as 'emergency' settings that produce poor-quality photos, we have been able to demonstrate that photographers can use these very high ISO operational settings on a daily basis to produce outstanding, high-quality images,” explained Cyrille de La Chesnais, DxO Labs' Director of Sales & Marketing for the Photography business.

1.2.1 Jul 19, 2016. IGuy1984, Thank You, Thank You! While this is a simple plug in for Photos it is an awesome one. I knew that optical corrections could be made for my various lenses but had no clue how powerful that could be. I love the fact that is a plug in. It solves the problem of exporting pictures, editing and re-importing them from Photos App. I’ve been staying up late at night rediscovering the beauty of old photos that “pop' after applying the corrections from this handy plug in.

This is probably not as dramatic an improvement for camera phone pictures, but for a DSRL enthusiast it’s just plain fantastic. Tip: If the lens correction seems to incorrectly say: 'No DxO Optics modules available for this image,' try “revert to original first.” This solves the issue for me every time. ChrisYesYesYes, Must have for Photos and RAW editing My original review wasn’t so kind because there was a bug prevented the optics module from working. But I contacted tech support and they were right on it. With that fixed, I can say I’m pretty happy with this App.
It’s the only app extension for Photos that will correct lense distortion, which makes it a must have for me. I’m trying to simplify my workflow by using Photos for management and editing only through extensions. This one is easy to use and the optics, lighting, noise, and DxO Clearview corrections make any photo look great in just a few seconds. With those corrections made, other photos extensions can do further creative styling as needed. JBManic, The perfect tool for quick and easy raw edits.Update.Update. since the last update the software has stopped recognizing my camer (Pentax K-7); which it used to.
This isn’t a major issue to me but it was a nice feature. This is an easy to use raw editor that works perfectly with my Pentax K-7. The equipment profiles are almost dead on which really helps decreasing the editing time. I am also extremely happy with the output. I have found that many “raw” editors for Photos output jpegs instead of maintaining the raw file; it’s great that this does. The only addition that I would love to see, assuming I’m not missing it in the current itterationg, is the ability to save custom profiles for instant or batch processing.
