Tecom Bt3030 Drivers For Mac
I have recently purchased a MSI BToes Bluetooth USB dongle. I have download the latest drivers/software version 1.4.2.10 from the MSI site. After installing this I insert the bluetooth dongle and am then required to enter the security code, which I can't find and doesn't seem to be printed on any of the labels on the dongle or with the packaging. I've then followed the alternate instructions for registering on the WIDCOMM site using the BD Address. After clicking submit on this site I always recieve the error: BD Address in bad format, make sure it's 12 characters long (No commas, colons, semicolons, or spaces). I have checked and double checked the BD Address.

Anybody else in the same position or any tips and possoble fixes? I'm waiting on support replies from both WIDCOMM and MSI. Windows XP MCE 2005 and even more junk. Can you belive this: Dear OEM customer: WIDCOMM only supplies technical support to customers who purchased their products directly from WIDCOMM or from one of our authorized resellers. Many 3rd party companies also bundle our software with their Bluetooth devices.
Learn everything you need to know about your new Mac. Get help with set up, basic tips. Access your documents anywhere. When you store documents in. Access instructions for mac.
Unfortunately, some of them leave our support information in the software dialogs instead of replacing it with their own. In cases like this, you should obtain technical support from the OEM manufacturer. Some of the companies who OEM our software are: TDK, IBM, Compaq, Acer, CSR, Tecom, MSI, BlueTake, BlueLink, and others. They will provide technical support on your Bluetooth product.
NOTE: WIDCOMM cannot supply software upgrades since each OEM provides vendor specific drivers for their particular Bluetooth device. Our off-the-shelf version of BTW or BTW-CE would be unlikely to work with most OEM devices. You should obtain software upgrades from the OEM manufacturer.
Ok, and here is what I got back From Widcomm: Thank you for your request. All support issues with MSI device's are being handled by MSI. Please contact MSI directly for Tech Support requests at And then later from MSI: Hi, We will check with our HQ regarding this issue and provide you feedback Thanks Blah, blah, blah. Dunno about you guys but I don't need this. In the meantime checkout and follow the Bluetooth link and do the IBM driver installation. I've done it with limited success.
But I want to also still test the MSI software, if only I had a security key! Such a simple request. Posted: 2003-05-28 03:14 I have yet to find a how to with these devices. Nor have i seen any drivers that work with my Tecom 3034 (I tired the ones c0mm0n posted) So here is my Go at it Note: This will included links to software and drivers(drivers for the Tecom 3034). I spent so long trying to figure out how to make this all work and came to the conclution that only the drivers on my CD that came with my Tecom BT Dongle will work. And in order to get all the new features (i.e. Audio gateway and headset) I had to use the new TDK 1.3.2.19 software (.Cracked.) so everything that is needed is here Enjoy 1hour till I get home!!!!

Nothing happens at all. Also have mobile phone monitor installed an enabled the bluetooth com ports. Will try the TDK drivers and see if that helps. If anybody has any help for me, please let me know. Forgot to say I bought the BT3030 used, and I haven't got the cd that followed the device. If anybody has that cd for download, I'd be very happy.

I am having no end of problems: Win2k - things work with tecom bt3030/bluetake 1.3.2.7 software but connection dies as soon as I try to transfer anything and tray icon keeps crashing. XP - mobile phone monitor refuses to 'see' bluetooth ports even with them enabled and software keeps crashing windows explorer! Help somebody! OK here is my advice. Uninstall everything regarding Bluetooth. Then download everything i have at the page.
Then install ericsson software (both programs) then install the TDK Software. This is the software NOT THE DRIVERS.
During this installation it will ask where your drivers are located at. Point it to you cd you got with the dongle otherwise (in a tecom 303x instance) try and D/L the drivers supplied at my page then point it to that. Then all should work.

Posted: 2003-07-28 00:29 Maybe I should clarify something. The TDK download is NOT the driver for the BT it is simply the software used for bluetooth (any BT dongle).

When installing the TDK software it will eventually ask for the drivers you want to use. That is when you point it to your cd that came with the Dongle. I recomend using the drivers that came on the cd with your BT device. I just reformated my comp so it will be a a few hours till my page with the software and drivers is back up This Message was edited by: M3DeL on 2003-07-27 23:30 Access the forum with a mobile phone via esato.mobi.
